EKSI moment of the day....

I have been in and out of zen recently. I am zen personified when not needed and in the time of crisis , zen flies out of me. Looks like , I need to write lot of mokkai posts to be 'zen o zen ' always !!

Now something relevant to the topic. I have written about 'Baap of mokkais' here,  and this one is about a mom.  The other day , I met a lady at the bus stop. Bus stops, especially those where you board your kids to school is a 'Adda' for all the *'SAHM's and this lady is **'YASAHM'.

The conversation was about kids, schooling and their exams. The lady was overstressed about her girl and her studies. I guessed her daughter should be appearing for public examination. I was eager to know the cause of her stress, so asked her which class her girl is in.
" Second standard" , she replied promptly.

I was shocked to hear the answer. "Just second standard, then what's the big deal ?".
Her cold stare tore me into pieces.

She said, "What just second standard? Do you really know what a second standard kid should know and do? I have to take the stress to make her study well. I am so well educated and supposed to be working in a reputed company in a good position, earning my five figure salary in SGD. I gave up my job for her. "

And then she threw a googly at me :
"Now, how will I let the world know all this about me? My daughter is my REPORT CARD".

EKSI of the day. Ennai Kodumai Sir Idhu... !"£$£""@£#'#';!

I pity her and her little one. Looks like this 'YASAHM' is bitten by 'Super mom' bug.
Its viral and hope you don't catch that.... Take care !!

Nice one.Hope she does not appear for her kud's exams to get better report card. I really pity the second std gal though :-) .

Ten day YOU challenge- Post 5. Six places

A 10 day 'YOU' challenge . I started writing here and I am still writing . Hanumar  vaalu maadhiri neendikitte pogudhu :p Six places : 1. Hyderabad, India  : I love Hyderabad. I love this city, people and their language. I struggled for first the one year to understand and communicate but after that everything fell in to its place. I cherish my time spent in Hyderabad. Honesty - Seldom do we get to see honest people. When in my own motherland , the auto rickshaw walah took away my purse which had a low cost mobile, pancard and some chillar money in it couple of years ago in front of my eyes, how can I have any expectation from a foreign land , where thousands of tourists come and go daily? That is how I felt when my partner lost his wallet in Bali , where we were out on a holiday trip few months ago. Two more days to go for the return flight, hotel bills to be settled and our daily needs to met for the rest of the trip with two little kids, we were slightly disheartened that our hardearned money had gone for a toss.
