Life - Zen O Zen - Part 6

Image
The first part of our zen  practice is as if we were in the middle of a confused, busy street; we can hardly find an empty place and the traffic is going every which way. It's confusing and frightening. And that's the way our life feels to most of us. We're so busy jumping out of the way of what's coming toward us that we can't understand our own entrapment in the traffic. Mindful homemaking - Zen O Zen - Part 5

Got these tips from   Karen Maezen Miller  . Love them for the simplicity of mindfulness. 1.Wake with the sun There is no purer light than what we see when we open our eyes first thing in the morning. 2.Sit Mindfulness without meditation is just a word. 3. Make your bed The state of your bed is the state of your head. Rake the leaves Rake, weed, or sweep. You’ll never finish for good, but you’ll learn the point of pointlessness. ...

In the morning while eating breakfast, we do not look at the person we love, we do not have enough time for it. We eat very quickly while thinking about other things, and sometimes we even hold a newspaper (iphone) that hides the face of the person we love. In the evening when we come home, we are too tired to be able to look at the person we love.We must bring about a revolution in our way of living our everyday lives, because our happiness, our lives, are within ourselves. When you are really there, you have the ability to recognize the presence of the other. To be there is the first step, and recognizing the presence of the other is the second step. To love is to recognize; to be loved is to be recognize...
