You know it's not your first...

I read a forum thread yesterday here in babycenter , a place where 90% of the mums would have visited atleast once. It was so cool to see the humorous side of these mummies. Sharing some of them here and for the rest you can refer the link above... :)
You know it's not your first when:

  • You can change the messiest of messy diaper blow outs on the front seat of your car in 60 seconds or less.
  • Your first question to a hurt child is, is there blood? No? Then you’re fine.
  • You snap pictures while grandpa feeds baby basically an entire ice cream bar.
  • You don't freak out over the tv being on more than an hour a day.
  • You become less concerned about killing your youngest and more concerned with your kids killing each other.
  • You are asked "the child's date of birth?" and you have to pause a moment to get all the birth dates numbers right in your head before responding.
  • You kick your kids outside and tell them to play and you dont want to see them until supper!
  •  You can navigate a mindfield blindfolded because of the toys in the living room after the lights are off.
Can you relate to these? If so, great going! Happy Motherhood!

Ten day YOU challenge- Post 5. Six places

A 10 day 'YOU' challenge . I started writing here and I am still writing . Hanumar  vaalu maadhiri neendikitte pogudhu :p Six places : 1. Hyderabad, India  : I love Hyderabad. I love this city, people and their language. I struggled for first the one year to understand and communicate but after that everything fell in to its place. I cherish my time spent in Hyderabad. Auto rides... marakkamudiyadhadhu !! 2. Coonoor, India : A place of scenic beauty. I did my high school and and higher secondary here. Houses on the slopes of the mountain, my road to school, the scooty ride on those dangerous bends, helpful and cheerful people all around. A small town with a big heart !! 3. Mt. Honesty - Seldom do we get to see honest people. When in my own motherland , the auto rickshaw walah took away my purse which had a low cost mobile, pancard and some chillar money in it couple of years ago in front of my eyes, how can I have any expectation from a foreign land , where thousands of tourists come and go daily? That is how I felt when my partner lost his wallet in Bali , where we were out on a holiday trip few months ago. Two more days to go for the return flight, hotel bills to be settled and our daily needs to met for the rest of the trip with two little kids, we were slightly disheartened that our hardearned money had gone for a toss. With no hope of  getting our wallet back, we continued to search in the crowded zoo of Bali, where we took an elephant ride 2 hours before we actually realised that we lost our wallet.
