Terima Kasih Bali - Akkarai seemai azhaginile - Part -2
Honesty - Seldom do we get to see honest people. When in my own motherland , the auto rickshaw walah took away my purse which had a low cost mobile, pancard and some chillar money in it couple of years ago in front of my eyes, how can I have any expectation from a foreign land , where thousands of tourists come and go daily? That is how I felt when my partner lost his wallet in Bali , where we were out on a holiday trip few months ago. Two more days to go for the return flight, hotel bills to be settled and our daily needs to met for the rest of the trip with two little kids, we were slightly disheartened that our hardearned money had gone for a toss.
With no hope of getting our wallet back, we continued to search in the crowded zoo of Bali, where we took an elephant ride 2 hours before we actually realised that we lost our wallet.
All the Zen I think and speak about , had completely flown out of me. That is when the local Bali guide who was with us added magic to the situation : "Lady, Why do you give up? I pray to God that if at all any miracle has to happen in my life let it happen today. Never give up. Bali people are good people. "
Yes and it did happen, the mahout who took us for a ride had found the wallet lying on the ground near a puddle and returned it back to us , without even having the slightest bit of curiosity to open and see what was inside eventhough it was with him for more than 2 hours. Hats off to his honesty. Love You BALI. Terima Kasih !!
