Ravishing Beauty !!

The otherday I was watching Jhalak dikhlaja on Sony TV (as a known and well established fact .. I hate serials from the bottom of my heart). An Indian version of Strictly come dancing  or  Dancing with the stars where the celebrities along with their partners (usually pro dancers) compete with each other. So what is so special about the show that has made me write about it ? Its none other than 'Madhuri Dixit'. She is a dancing diva.

At the age of 44 ( hollywood's so called beauties cannot match her), the lady is still charismatic and as captivating as she was in 1990's 'EK DO TEEN'. She has an enchanting way of talking about the performance,contestants or the 'DANCE' itself.

Madhuri doesn't look like or talk like other actors who come on the show as judge without knowing what they are judging and why they are here ! Her forte is 'Dance' and the way she describes her emotions and her thoughts about the performance.. it makes you think- This lady is not dumb as bollywood heroines are termed to be. She knows what she is talking and that's what makes her special.
In an interview to a TV channel many years ago, when asked about being called Madhubala -2, Madhuri said , " I don't want to be Madhubala -2 or Madhubala-3 , I want to be 'Madhuri -1'" . Wow thats attitude and the people have given her that status. School girls in 1990's were heard saying 'Main Madhuri Dixit banna chahthi hoon'('मैं  माधुरी  दीक्षित   बनना  चाहती  हूँ ')!!

Madhuri has a mesmerizing smile which she sports even now at 44 with such elegance, the plastic smiles thrown by so called world beauties are no match to it. May be this is what we call 'Ageing gracefully'. Many may not agree with her return to limelight after having attained stardom and been a legend in her field to just judging a reality show. But believe me this lady knows her 'STUFF' !!!

I was never a 'Madhuri' fan...Looks like I will become one soon !!

Ten day YOU challenge- Post 5. Six places

A 10 day 'YOU' challenge . I started writing here and I am still writing . Hanumar  vaalu maadhiri neendikitte pogudhu :p Six places : 1. Hyderabad, India  : I love Hyderabad. I love this city, people and their language. I struggled for first the one year to understand and communicate but after that everything fell in to its place. I cherish my time spent in Hyderabad. Honesty - Seldom do we get to see honest people. When in my own motherland , the auto rickshaw walah took away my purse which had a low cost mobile, pancard and some chillar money in it couple of years ago in front of my eyes, how can I have any expectation from a foreign land , where thousands of tourists come and go daily? That is how I felt when my partner lost his wallet in Bali , where we were out on a holiday trip few months ago. Two more days to go for the return flight, hotel bills to be settled and our daily needs to met for the rest of the trip with two little kids, we were slightly disheartened that our hardearned money had gone for a toss.
