Baap of Mokkais

Another train incident !!!.. No this one doesn't involve me and I was just a spectator. A family boarded the train and occupied the seats opposite to us. The father pushed the luggage under the berth and the rest (mother , son of 10 or 12, daughter around 8 ) took their seats. I suppose the father was in his late 30's and gave an impression that he occupied a good post in a top notch IT company.

As soon as he settled in his seat , he started asking (or should I say shooting) questions to his son. The son had a neutral expression and started answering the questions one by one. The questions were thrown from varied fields of interest (of the father). The question answer session was more of like dad flaunting his GK skills rather than the kid. Train start ஆனவுடனே போட ஆரம்பிச்ச மொக்கை ... போடறாரு போடறாரு ஒரு one hour ... blood  same blood case தான்  !!! Poor boy .. he was just trying to answer right or wrong ignoring all the glares from the onlookers. His mom who was sitting by his side, was coaxing and cajoling him for all the answers whether right or wrong. (நல்ல  குடும்பம்  !! ஆனாலும்  இவ்ளோ  blade ஆகாதுப்பா)

Then the topic was switched to Maths...this really showed the aim of his father. The way he asked the questions showed how crooked he was. A sample question : What is the sum of all the three angles of a triangle? a. 90 b. 270 c. 360 d. None of the above. May be the question he asked was right for his son's age but the way he gave out the options totally shocked me ..... ( நம்ம  language la சொல்லனனும்ன 'சரியான  criminal mind'). திருப்பி  ஒரு  one hour ...atlast the boy resorted to playing hand video game..... அங்கேயும் நம்ம  ஆளு  விடறதா  இல்லை  ... if you hit this you get life but you can't score....if you hit that this way you can score... only then you can win !! He literally took the video game and started playing.

I could see that 'Santosh Subramaniyam' (Bommarilu)  movie was being replayed in real life !!! நல்ல மொக்கை  !!

PS: The girl was ignored totally by both the parents. தப்பிச்சுது!! Her turn will start once her father and brother gets fed up of each other ! May be or May be not!!

Hi,
Happened to stumble upon ur blog. Blog name, About me, ellam parthutu, ennada evangale "confirm" pannumbodhu padikanumanu yosichen...but, ur blog is quite interesting.

As I am also a dad of a 3 year old kid, I do agree that we shouldn't flood our kids with too much information.

Your Doncaster Disaster was too too gud...I mean...not those disastrous events, but the manner in which you have described those events :)
