Doncaster disaster -அக்கறை சீமை அழகினிலே - Part 1

This happened last year in UK when we had to travel to London by train from Huddersfield. We booked the ticket in advance as it has discount offers attached to it. There was no direct train at 7:00 in the morning so we had to reach Wakefield and take a connecting train to London. The total journey is around 2 and 1/2 hours so we would reach London by 9:30 AM. We reached Wakefield by 7:25 AM bang on time. Our connecting train was at 7:35 in another platform. மூட்டை முடிச்சு எடுத்துக்கிட்டு we reached the other platform. There was a train standing there and it was about to leave. It was train to London. இதுல என்ன பெரிய விஷயம் தானே யோசிக்கறிங்க !! அங்க தான்  விஷயமே !!!!
I asked the guard standing near the first class coach for our coach and he said " Hurry up lady , the train will leave now, get in here and you can walk inside to your compartment ".... என்னை யோசிக்கவே விடலை .... I pulled my hubby and son in to the train and the door was closed. Only then my better half told me that our train was 7:35 one and this is 7:30 train !!! போச்சு அவ்ளோ தான்  wrong train board பண்ண  இவனுங்க  பீஸு  பீசா  கிழிச்சுருவாங்களே  ..ok something has to be done or we might have to pay fine and get down at the next station or என்ன  வேணும்னாலும்  நடக்கலாம்.
Immediately we informed the first class attendant and he called the ticket checker. He came, he saw and he said  " Please get down at the next station and that will be in another 15 min". I was shocked.. என்ன  இவன்  ஒண்ணுமே  சொல்லாம  next station la இறங்குங்கனு சொல்லிட்டான்...next station என்னது  அங்கேந்து  எப்படி  போறது  ...ஒன்னும்  சொல்லலை .... I asked him once again whether we can catch the 7:35 train in the next stop and he said " 7:30 train stops at Doncaster and then direct London. 7:35 train doesn't stop at Doncaster but it stops at Peterborough and then London. So எப்படி  இருந்தாலும்  சொதப்பனது  சொதப்பனது  தான் ... மவளே  நீ  காலி நு  சொல்லாம  சொல்லிட்டு போய்ட்டான். I realized the value of Indian railways.. சென்னை எக்ஸ்பிரஸ்... சார்மினார் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் . .... எவ்ளோ clear a இருக்கும். இதுவே  நம்ம  ஊரா இருந்தா  TTR second classla ஒரு  ஓராம  இடம் கொடுத்துருப்பாறு  ...பாவம்  பார்த்து .. இல்லை  next station la அந்த  train a புடிசுருக்கலாம் ... feel பண்ணி என்ன  use ... no use !!சொர்க்கமே என்றாலும் நம்ம ஊரா போல வருமா !!!
Hmm we got down at Doncaster ....Long distance buses are  after 5 in the evening..... train ticket ரொம்ப  ஜாஸ்தி ... you can't take risk and straying around with 3 year old ... We had to sort out some bank formalities that afternoon in London... Next day early morning we have to take the europe tour from london operated by a travels company.... சும்மா  சொல்ல  கூடாது  super சொதப்பல்ஸ் ...
We went to the ticket counter and asked for the next train to London. Madam told a xyz rate which was far higher than what we booked online and train was scheduled at 9:00 AM... hmm அந்த  timekku  London reach ஆயிருக்கலாம் .. அடிச்சு புடிச்சு  ஒரு  வழியா .. 12:00 kku வந்து சேந்தோம் ... the time difference may be less but the anxiety and getting stranded in an unknown place with lots of important tasks to be done on the same day took a toll.
Goof up and my name are like synonyms. Due to 'do it fast' attitude , I end up doing things wrong ....or wrong things most of the time. 95% of the time I try to turn it in my favour and make it AAL izz well. ( என்ன பண்றது கூடவே பொறந்தது!! அரசியல் வாழ்க்கையல இதெல்லாம் சகஜமப்பா!!!)
