Colours - I love them all !!!!!

Colour is a powerful psychological tool. Colours can be used to convey any sort of message. It can calm, excite, soothe, bewilder, depress or impress the onlooker. Different religions and cultures have different meanings associated with every colour. The stuff I am going to put over here is a generalized one.

Black : 

It is a powerful colour. It is usually associated with authority and power. It absorbs colours and reflects nothing back. Fashionists appreciate black as they consider it to be extremely stylish and posh colour. Black signifies mystery, drama and eccentricity. Since it is mysterious colour, it is connected with negative forces and the unknown. Ladies who are on heavier side can hide their extra pounds by wearing a black attire as it gives them thinner and chic look. Black is a serious colour and can evoke strong emotions.

White:

White is associated with purity. It is a neutral colour. It is a compression of all colours.Utilizing the effects of white colour is not as easy as it sounds. It creates airy, pure and serene atmosphere but at the same time some relate to it in a positive way while some treat it as a colour of mourning.

Red:

Red is an intense colour with passion. This colour can act as a stimulus and immediately draw others attention. It gives a sense of protection from fear and anxiety. This colour triggers appetite and hence preffered in dining rooms. It is a lively colour associated with danger, passion, warmth, sophistication and optimism

Blue:

The colour blue is one of the popular colours. It acts as tranquilizers. When in contact with blue, the human body produces chemicals that causes calming effect. It is the colour of loyalty and promotes intellectuals. The colour blue when used in abundance creates cold feelings and is unwelcoming. The colour blue helps in clear thinking and in turn aides intuition.

Green:

Green has the meaning of fertility and in many cultures brides wear green. The darker shade of green is considered rather masculine and signifies wealth and a conservative attitude. Green is also associated with jealousy. Green can be used for relaxation and harmony as well as to heal from depression, nervousness and other physical problems.The colour green is known to aid concentration, making it a good colour for offices and study areas and bathrooms. Green can make people complacent or too laid back.


Yellow:

Yellow is a positive colour but at times can be overpowering and irritating. Yellow instills optimism and energy and can instigate creativity. It symbolizes enlightment and happiness but stronger shades can trigger emotional distress.

Orange:

Orange can be strong positive or negative colour. It can trigger a 'love it' or 'hate it' response in others.  Orange encourages socialization. It is supposed to aid in digestion. The colour exudes warmth and lot of energy.

Pink:

Pink is youthful, fun and exciting colour. Pink is associated with romance and the blush on young woman's cheeks. Bright pink increases heartbeat, respiration and pulse rate. It indicates action and confidence. Pink is considered as too sweet or girlie colour. Pink is a derivation of colour red can be used for tranquilizing.

Purple:

Purple is associated with royalty and wealth. It is a feminine colour. It is gives a sumptuous and elegant look. Purple enhances creativity and mystical qualities.  Purple can be connected with magic, mytique, joy and luxury.


Brown:

Brown is considered as a practical colour. It gives a sense of wholeness and orderliness. It implies dependability. At times too much of brown creates sadness and wistfulness. Some believe that brown gives a feeling of self discipline.
