On Social networking sites
Orkut, Facebook, Twitter, Hi5 and the list goes on....Social networking sites has become part of everyone who is attached to the internet. The number of people signing up for these sites are rising day by day. What do people get out these sites? Some use it to find new friends and some to get in touch with old friends. Then there are those who use it to find people who have the same problems or interests they have, this is called niche networking.
However, there is still a argument on whether social networking sites are boon or bane !! These sites are just an addiction more than anything else. With all your personal, professional details, albums and messages posted on these sites, you can never be sure who is going through all your details or keeping tab on your latest developments. It is up to the user to use these sites responsibly.
Once Karan johar confessed in Farah khan’s chat show ‘Tere Mere Beach mein’ on Starplus: “I love accepting those friendship requests that says, ‘hey remember I was your friend in school or college? Ya? Friend? Whatever, I add them and enjoy going through their albums and enjoy seeing those swans turn to ugly ducklings now.”
Most of them befriend people who were once upon a time their classmates or college mates only to know what they are up to and to find out whether they’re beautiful swans or ugly ducklings !!!
How many of us really understand that people whom we have known 10 years ago and lost touch will not be the same? Everything changes except the word change. People whom we add as friends on these social networking sites are no exception to this fact.
If you want to be just popular on any of these sites and don't want to bother then the mantra is "If you got it then flaunt it"!!
