Bus number 105

It was one of my first days in college as a Lecturer. I was commuting by college bus as it was considered fastest and  special credit to driver thatha (ரொம்ப நல்லவரு !!) of bus number 105. He usually considered his bus as super fast deluxe with addon features like....on time arrival/departure,  passengers get to hear FM on good quality stereo and seats are not cramped ....so ample space for students and staff who will reach chennai in less than hour with driver thatha driving at the speed of 70km/hour. Since it was chennai bus, students were given privilege of passing on cassettes to the driver which was usually considered  offence in other two buses. ( அது college இல்லை school). First few rows of seats were reserved for staff and the rest were open to students. 105 is for chennai ..it will bye pass..all the லொட்டு லொசுக்கு  stoppings...(ஓட்டறது யாரு !!).
 104 and 103 were for chengalpattu...that 's were the majority student and staff community belonged to!!

Since it was the beginning of new academic year, a set of rules were being made to protect freshers from being ragged by so called seniors who in turn were 'treated' or should I say 'ragged' badly by the Lecturers.  So few of  junior years (I and II year as even II years are ragged....யாரையும் விடறதா இல்லை ) have to board  104 to chennai instead of super fast 105 which was exclusively for senior students and staff. New assistants were employed for all the three buses and it was timed perfectly. Bus number 105 neither waited for students nor staff (அப்போ bus யாருக்கு ?) , if the staff is getting delayed then driver thatha will horn twice and the bus vrooms off to NH. (வந்தா வா வராட்டி போ , time ஆகுது இல்லை ) After that it is a hazzle to come out and catch a regular bus. Everyone including staff and students avoided such complications and tried to be ontime. (என்னத்த வெட்டிமுரிக்கற வேலை :) )

Then came a day in my life where I had to run for the super delux bus 105.....(வேலைல்ல sincere ).. .the assistant (நம்ம language ல cleaner ) standing at the door literally stopped me and said something  (என்னை பார்த்து எப்படி அப்படி  சொல்லலாம் !!!)

 I was shocked ..but  I didn't speak a word in embarassment..and prayed that none of my students noticed or listened to what that assistant has just said...since the bus started ..I didn't respond to that guy and got in to the bus...sooner he realised his mistake and gave a sly smile when I got down at my stop !!! By the way , for people who are wondering what he said , this is what he  said...........................................................................................................................
